We love this greeting card designed by Devon-based artist Sally Anderson. It captures that dream which so many of us nurture: to move out of the city one day, and buy a little cottage by the sea!

Envelopes: A Puzzling Journey by Harriet Russell
We've just discovered this fun little book by Harriet Russell who sent out 130 envelopes addressed in the form of puzzles, anagrams, crosswords, dot-t0-dot puzzles and riddles. Some puzzles probably gave Royal Mail sorting-office workers a major headache but amazingly almost all the envelopes arrived!
'Envelopes: A Puzzling Journey Through the Royal Mail' by Harriet Russell (Allison & Busby, £10; from 13 October- it's available from Amazon.

More lovely Christmas Cards
I love these Christmas cards which are designed by Blush Publishing, a fantastic company based in Wales. Each card has been hand-printed on antique printing presses. You can see the fabulous texture of the paper and the beautiful retro patterns that have been pressed deep into the paper. These cards are available from our stationery shop http://www.papergrain.co.uk/.
The Ultimate Chocolate Cake
Autumn is really here with its gusts of wind and chilly mornings so for us it's time to get back into the kitchen and prepare our favourite "comfort food" recipes for cold breezy days!
This is a recipe from Trish Deseine's fabulous book "Chocolate" which features fantastic mouth-watering photos of chocolate in all its forms.
For 6 to 8 people
5 minutes prep
22 minutes cooking time
If possible cook it the day before you serve it ( or at least a few hours before)
You will need:
2 big bowls
1 square cake tin
200 g dark chocolate ( I have also used Terry's dark chocolate orange)
200g butter
5 eggs
1 tablespoonful of flour
250g sugar ( I tend to use a bit less)
Heat the oven to 190 C
Over a bain marie melt the chocolate and the butter in a bowl
Add the sugar and set aside for a minute or two
Add the eggs one at a time and stir in well with a wooden spoon
Finally add the sponful of flour and mix well
Pour the cake mixture into the buttered tin
Cook for exactly 22 minutes- Yummy!!
