The Carte Postale Cards

I discovered these fantastic 100% recycled greeting cards at the Pulse fair in June. They are designed by Philippe and his team at The Carte Postale. We love the fabulous retro designs and the high quality cardstock used. I'm keen to show that "green" greeting cards can be just as glamorous and sturdy as any of the best brands out there.

Keepsake Notelet Box by Rosehip

I am a huge fan of Rosehip's wonderful paper products, from greeting cards to notebooks and now this wonderful keepsake box which contains 8 note cards, in two colour ways. What makes these even more desirable is the fact that they are made from 100% recycled board and paper... and produced in the UK. I have just added the keepsake box to my online store.

Hot Water Bottles- Blank Greeting Card

I discovered these fantastic cards at Pulse in June and am delighted to be adding them to the site this week. Am thinking hot water bottles might make quite a comeback this autumn as we all try to keep heating bills down! The talented designer behind these fabulous cards is Laura Coley, a graphic designer who recently launched her own brand We Are Family.

Mother and Baby

I have really fallen for this beautiful card based on a woodcut by Anita Klein. There is so much warmth, love and pride in the eyes of the mother and the baby looks so content to be in his mother's arms. I had a look at Anita Klein's website today http://www.anitaklein.com/ and really loved her lively, humorous portrayals of women, men, angels and babies.

Gourmet Greetings

I have just added this fantastic greeting card to the site. It was designed by London based Anzu who create glamorous retro cards featuring delicate watercolour illustrations printed on high-quality cardstock. I am planning to add a larger selection soon.

Stationery for Kids

When I was growing up, my parents always encouraged us to keep a holiday diary. My brothers, sister and I would choose our notebooks in the local stationers and customise them with all kinds of more or less excentric adornments. I recall one ambitious holiday notebook cover being decorated with large sea shells. Another was decorated with postcards of fluffy new-born lambs, bought while on a visit to the lake district. Mum has kept all our holiday scrap books and they make for entertaining reading! With this in mind, I have added a Kids' stationery range to the site. We've selected holiday playpacks, colourful notebooks and a specially designed travel journal.

Lovely Eco-friendly Cards

These lovely cheerful 100% recycled paper cards designed by Lisa Jones are now displayed on the walls of our office- they are so cool they've almost made us forget about the awful weather conditions! Our favourite is the rather nervous looking lion- isn't he cute! You can see more cards from this range on our website.

Time Out Magazine

We were given a wonderful write-up in Time Out Magazine recently. We were really excited to hear that they loved our website. They illustrated the piece with a picture of a super stylish greeting card by UK-based Blush Publishing who print all their cards by hand on an antique Victorian printing press. It's so wonderful to see that age-old printing techniques can be put to great use to create beautiful contemporary designs.

Hello Lucky and the joy of Snail Mail

I have slightly neglected this blog in recent weeks due to being rather busy with my website http://www.papergrain.co.uk/. We have been adding fabulous new lines of stationery including these gorgeous Snail Mail Thank you Cards designed by Hello Lucky in San Francisco. I first discovered their beautifully crafted cards while on a road trip down the East Coast. The high quality of the cardstock used and the funky, stylish designs are a fabulous combination. I am thrilled to be selling these cards on the site and boy have they been popular!
